Heat transfer augmentation techniques (passive, active or a combination of passive and active methods) are commonly used in various areas such as process industries, heating and cooling in evaporators etc. The active techniques are more complex from the design point of view, because this technique requires an external power input, causes the desired flow modification and improvement in rate of heat transfer
