Abstract :

This study experimentally investigates a system for introducing an absorbing plate made of aluminium cans utilize for food preservation. The dryer is composed of the heated air from a separate solar collector with aluminium material and a solar drying chamber containing rack of metal net trays being integrated together. The air allowed in through air inlet is heated up in the solar collector with aluminium cans and pass through the drying chamber where it is utilized for removing the moisture content. Also the drying chamber absorbs solar energy directly through the transparent roof. The collector had been covered with a 4 mm single glass plate, in order to reduce convective loses to the atmosphere.
