Abstract :

In order to make concrete industry sustainable, the use of waste materials in place of natural resources is one of the best approaches. An enormous quantity of waste glass is generated all around the world. In India, 0.7 % to 1% of total urban waste generated comprises of glass. In this study, fine aggregates were partially replaced by crushed waste borosilicate glass in the ratio of 10%, 20%, 30% and 40% by weight for M-25 and M-30 concrete grades with water cement ratio 0.45. The fresh concrete was tested for workability and cured concrete specimens were subjected to non-destructive tests & also destructive tests like cube compressive strength, Modulus of Rupture, Split tensile strength etc.
